The RSA Has Described This Weekend As One Of The Worst So Far

The Road Safety Authority has described this weekend as one of the worst on Irish roads this year.

Five people have been killed in two separate collisions over the past 48 hours.

A ten-year old girl and three women - all from one extended family - died instantly when their car collided with a jeep in Co. Westmeath yesterday morning.

While, a pensioner was killed at around midday yesterday following a crash in Co Monaghan.

92 lives have been lost on Irish roads so far this year.

The Transport Minister Leo Varadkar is calling on people to remain vigilant and stay safe.
