The Tanaiste has fallen out of a boat into flood water in Co Kilkenny.

Joan Burton and Minister of State Ann Phelan were being pulled along in the boat in Thomastown by a local artist when it tipped over.

The Tanaiste may have learned a lesson about rocking the boat before an election, but laughed about the incident afterwards.

Labour might not be floating voters' boats at the moment, but journalist Conor Kane says Joan Burton quickly found her sea legs after the incident.
