Two men charged over Shane Murphy's death refused bail

Two men charged in connection with the death of Shane Murphy have been refused bail at Limerick District Court.

Gardai said today Mr Murphy was stabbed "23 times" in a "frenzied attack" on April 30th at a house in the village of Pallaskenry, Co Limerick.

32-year old Ger Hogan, of Raheen Square, Ballinacurra Weston, and 20-year old Dylan Hayes, of The Crescent, Kilteragh, Dooradoyle, are both charged with assault causing serious harm to Mr Murphy and with producing a knife in the course of the assault.
