It is reported thousands of distressed borrowers have already contacted the state-backed Insolvency Service of Ireland as it prepares to open for business tomorrow.
According to today's Sunday Independent, up to 4,500 people have made contact with the service to date.
Around 80 staff members will begin examining applications from tomorrow morning when the new service opens it's doors to the public.
The programme is regarded as an alternative to bankruptcy, and can help people to have their debts written off within three years.
