It's estimated over 12,000 people took part a rally in Belfast today, calling for an Irish language act in the North.

Activists from across Ireland are calling for laws to be introduced that would give Irish equal status with English.

The issue has been at the forefront of the political agenda recently, with campaigners saying legislation was promised over 10 years ago.
