Four die in 24 hours on Ireland's roads

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in County Wexford.

A 20 year old woman lost her life this evening when her car struck a wall at Camblin, New Ross at about ten to five.

It brings to four the number of people who have lost their lives on the country's roads in the last 24 hours and nine since last Sunday.

The woman's remains have been removed to University Hospital Waterford for a post mortem examination.

The road remains closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.

Elsewhere an 18 year old man has been killed in a crash in County Cavan.

The teenager was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a truck and another car at Kilcogy, Co. Cavan at approximately 7.30 this morning

No one else was injured in the crash.

Meanwhile, Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a 29 year old man was knocked down and fatally injured in crash near Carlow Town at around 7.20 pm on Christmas Day. 

A teenage boy was also killed yesterday when his motorcycle crashed into another bike on Cherry Orchard Avenue in Dublin
