Three Syrian children have drowned in the Aegean Sea.

The youngsters were amongst a group in a boat that capsized of the Turkish coast last night - 20 others have been rescued.

The man in charge of the vessel, who admitted having no experience, is now facing criminal charges.

More than 1,800 people have already made the crossing from Turkey to Greece this month.
