14 and a half tonnes of tobacco has been seized at Dublin Port.
It was found when tobacco dog "Casey" examined a container which had arrived from Rotterdam.
Revenue says the tobacco seized was in an unfinished state.
If finished and packaged for sale, it would represent a retail value of over 7 million euro.
In its current state, its worth in the region of 87 thousand euro.
Investigations into the attempted importation are ongoing, with a view to prosecution.
