An investigation is underway after a toddler died in a farm accident in Co Cork.

The 18 month old boy was run over by a tractor in Killeagh at lunchtime.

Paramedics rushed to the scene, but attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful.

A post mortem will be carried out at Cork University Hospital.
