Tom Hanks has taken to social media to reunite a college student in the US with her lost ID card.

He uploaded a picture of it to Twitter - after coming across it in a park.

It's been favourited more than 10-thousand times.

The actor was on the receiving end of a similar act of kindness in March - when someone found his credit card on a street in New York and returned it to him.
