Met Eireann has issued a weather warning because of high temperatures expected across the country tomorrow.
It could be hottest day of the year with temperatures of up to 28 degrees, but forecasters says some areas might see 30 degrees in sheltered places
The warmest temperature recorded so far today was 27 degrees, in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and at Mount Dillon in Co Roscommon.
Joanna Donnelly from Met Eireann explains why we are experienceing such a hot spell:
Met Eireann's charts show clear skies over Ireland today.

The donkeys are enjoying the blue skies (as are the visitors!)
