Gardai are awaiting the results of forensic and toxicology tests following a post mortem on the body of a man who died on board an Aer Lingus flight on Sunday.

Tests are being conducted on a number of packages recovered during the examination at Cork University Hospital.

Gardai are investigating the possibility the 24 year old Brazillian man was being used as a drugs mule.

He was pronounced dead after the Lisbon to Dublin flight was diverted to Cork airport.

Another passenger - a woman in her forties - is being detained in relation to drugs offences.
