Toyota is recalling 700 Prius cars in Ireland because of computer problems.
The vehicles were made between March 2009 and February 2014.
The firm says faulty software in its hybrid cars could damage a component, causing the vehicle to stop.
1.9 million vehicles are being recalled worldwide.
Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles updated by their local dealer at a time convenient for them and at no cost to the owner.
Owners can contact Toyota Ireland on 01 4190222 or www.toyota.ie
