The Transport Minister is calling for the bus strike this weekend to be called off and for a return to talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
Paschal Donohoe says no worker will be forced to transfer to another operator as part of plans to privatise 10 per cent of Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann routes.
Unions plan to strike on Friday and Saturday of this week - with further strikes planned for later in May.
