The search for Trevor Deely's remains at a site in Chapelizod in Dublin has concluded with nothing found.
Gardaí say unfortunately nothing that furthers the search for Trevor was located.
The site remains closed to the public.
Officers spent 6 weeks examining the site after receiving "new information" in relation to the case.
22-year-old Trevor Deely went missing after his Christmas party in December 2000.
He was last seen on CCTV footage crossing Baggot Street Bridge and heading towards Haddington Road in Dublin city centre.
A complete review of the case was launched last year.
Gardaí are again calling on anyone with information on Trevor’s disappearance to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01-666-9000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
