Tributes have been paid to Simon McKinley, the motorsport driver who died in a crash at the Clare Motor Club Annual Hillclimb yesterday evening.
Four-time reigning Irish Hillclimb and Sprint Champion McKinley from Co. Dublin died after he reportedly crashed his vehicle at around 5.30pm in the Gortaclare, Bellharbour area of the Burren.
The 34 year old was taken to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem examination is due to take place.
Motorsport Ireland have extended their sympathy to Simon's family and friends.
