The Communications Minister Alex White has added his condolences to the torrent of tributes paid to Tony Fenton.
Speaking from New Zealand - Minister White said Tony was the voice of a generation.
Tributes have been pouring in for the 53 year old who passed away earlier following a battle with cancer.
The Today FM presenter had been fighting cancer for three years, after being diagnosed aged just 50.
