Rebel officials in Syria say an agreement has been reached for a full ceasefire in Aleppo this evening.

Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said civilians and rebel fighters could be allowed to leave the area "within hours".

There are reports of atrocities being carried out by government forces backed up by Russian troops as they retake the city. They include executions of civilians in their homes.
