Donald Trump has defended his campaign manager after he was charged over the alleged assault of a female journalist.

Corey Lewandowski is accused of grabbing and bruising the reporter's arm at a rally in Florida.

But the Republican presidential frontrunner says he's confident his aide will be exonerated.
