The US President has told North Korea that America will not be intimidated.
On the first anniversary of his election, Donald Trump has used a speech to the South Korean parliament to condemn Kim Jong-un's regime and its pursuit of a nuclear weapon that could hit the United States.
He is calling for countries around the world to come together to isolate Pyongyang.
Mr Trump told the North not to underestimate the US:
One year ago today, Donald Trump shocked the world with his surprise victory over Hillary Clinton - with his Republican party also securing control over the two houses of Congress in the US.Democrats are, however, celebrating today after several local election victories overnight.
The party won governorship contests in Virginia and New Jersey.
In the Virginia contest, Democrat Ralph Northam ended up nine points ahead of his rival - Republican Ed Gillespie, who had embraced a Trump-like approach to the campaign.
In a tweet, Trump - who is travelling to China on the next leg of his Asian tour - hit out at Mr Gillespie:
Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for. Don’t forget, Republicans won 4 out of 4 House seats, and with the economy doing record numbers, we will continue to win, even bigger than before!
