Trump says comments on judge's Mexican heritage "misconstrued"

Donald Trump says that his attacks on the judge presiding over a law suit against him have been "misconstrued."

Previously the republican nominee said he wouldn't get a fair hearing because of the Judge's Mexican heritage.

This has led to leading members of his own party including the Republican leader of Congress Paul Ryan condemning the comments as racist.

Meanwhile, a new "Trump Not Welcome" group is to protest against the billionaire's visit to Ireland this month.

The group is an alliance of left wing groups and says its wants to show "International Solidarity against racism, sexism and discrimination".

Protests against the Republican Presidential nominee will take place in Dublin, Shannon and at his resort in Doonbeg, Co Clare.
