It's understood Stephen Paddock, the man who killed 59 people in the massacre, used 12 firearms that had been converted into automatic weapons and had set up cameras so that he could spot anyone coming for him.
Police have also revealed he transferred tens of thousands of euro overseas in the days before the shooting.
Officers say they will still be processing the hotel room that he fired from for days.
The massacre has prompted calls for tougher gun laws in the US.
Police have released bodycam footage from officers who responded to the shooting.
