Trust in all major institutions in Ireland has declined over the past year, according to new research.
The Edelman Trust Barometer shows declines in trust for Government, business, media and NGOs.
Only 21% of people show total trust in Government, compared to 32% in the last survey.
Trust in Government is now back to pre-election levels.
Total trust in media has also declined from 45% to 37% .
The study shows the least trusted industry in Ireland is the banking sector.
