A democracy group in Tunisia has won this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

The National Dialogue Quartet has been praised for its "decisive contribution" to a peaceful political process in 2013, when the country was on the brink of civil war.

German Chancellor Angel Merkel and the Pope had been rumoured to be up for the award.
