The Turkish coastguard has recovered the bodies 12 people from the sea - after they drowned while trying to reach the Greek island of Lesbos in a wooden boat.
The grim discovery was made near the seaside town of Ayvalik this morning.
Approximately two dozen others were rescued - after using mobile phones to call for help when they began to sink.
Separately 13-people are still missing after their rubber dingy went down near the island of Kalymnos overnight - three children are among the four confirmed dead.
