Two men have been arrested after a taxi was carjacked in Dublin this morning.

It happened around 2.30 this morning when two passengers forced the driver out of the taxi at knifepoint near Ballymun and stole a small amount of cash.

The car was later recovered on the Old Airport Road near Ballymun, and two men - aged 20 and 21 - were arrested.

They're being held at Mountjoy Garda Station.

The driver was not injured.
