Two Arrested After €3.2m Louth Drug Seizure

Two men have been arrested after drugs worth €3.2m were seized in Co Louth.

It was discovered after Gardaí stopped a commercial haulage vehicle in Ballymascanlon, north of Dundalk.

Following a search, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €3.2m was found.

The cannabis herb was concealed within a load of fresh vegetables.

Two men, aged 57 and 42 from the UK and Northern Ireland, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.

They're being detained at Dundalk Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
