It's emerged that 84 thousand euro was secretly given to former trustees of a charity for people with serious brain conditions.
An investigation found that two founders of Ataxia Ireland were wrongly paid, as charity trustees are barred from receiving payments, except for expenses.
The charity was set up to support people with disorders that affect co-ordination, balance and speech.
According to the Irish Independent, the Charity Regulator investigation also revealed the charity's annual credit card spending was over 10 thousand euro on things like alcohol and supermarket food.
