Three Dead After Separate Crashes Overnight

Three motorcyclists have been killed in separate road crashes over the past 24 hours.

Investigations in to the unconnected collisions are continuing this morning.

 A man in his 30's was killed after a crash in Dublin this morning.

The single vehicle crash happened at the Old Cabra Road at around 2.20am, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene while the pillion passenger, a man in his 40s was also seriously injured in the crash.

In Limerick, two men died in separate motorbike crashes last night.

A man in his twenties died after his motorbike left the road at O'Malley Park at around 20 to 8.00 last night.

Separately a man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorbike hit a roundabout at Quinn's Cross, he was taken to University Hospital Limerick and pronounced dead shortly after arrival .

Anyone who may have witnesses any of the accidents is asked to contact Gardai.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after two men died in separate motorbike crashes in Limerick last night.

The coroner has been notified following the two - unconnected - collisions, and investigations are getting underway this morning.

At about 20 to eight last night a man in his twenties suffered serious injuries when his motorbike left the road at O'Malley Park in Limerick's Southill.

He was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

At around the same time - at approximately half past seven - a man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorbike hit a roundabout at Quinn's Cross, Mungret.

He was also pronounced dead shortly after arrival at University Hospital Limerick.

The coroner has been notified, and the scenes of both crashes have been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, which is expected to be carried out later this morning.
