Two people have died in separate house fires in Dublin and Kilkenny.
Emergency services are at the scene of a blaze in Stoneybatter in Dublin this evening on the Sigurd Road.
A 53 year old man was removed from the scene but was pronounced dead in the last hour at the Mater Hospital - it's understood an elderly woman has been seriously injured in the fire.
While earlier today in Castlecomer a man in his 90's lost his life in a house fire.
