Two elderly friends say they're getting married to avoid inheritance tax.

Michael O'Sullivan acts as carer for his friend Matt, who wants to give him his home when he dies.

The men, who are straight, have been friends for 30 years and are both single.

They told RTE's Liveline that they came to the conclusion that getting married "wouldn't be a bad idea" to sidestep the tax.
