Gardaí in Dublin are questioning two men on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
A loaded gun was seized on the Kylemore Road in the south inner-city last night when the Emergency Response Unit stopped a van.
Two men were arrested at the scene.
They are aged 34 and 38 and are being questioned at Crumlin garda station.
