The HSA and members of the Gardai are investigating after a man died and another was left in a critical condition following an industrial accident in North County Dublin.
The incident happened at around 2:30pm while the men were working on a sewer at Drumnigh Wood Housing estate in Portmarnock.
One man collapsed into the pit and died at the scene - the second man came to his rescue, but was also overcome by fumes and remains in a critical condition in Beaumount Hospital.
