Met Eireann has issued two weather warnings across the country until tomorrow.
The weather forecaster has put a status orange alert in place for exposed western coasts - with winds gusting up to 110 kilometres per hour.
A yellow warning for all of Ireland - with southwest winds - reaching average speeds of around 46 kilometres per hour is also being put in place.
Meterologist Gerry Murphy says once the wind weather warnings have been lifted there is also the possibility of light snow showers tomorrow and on Tuesday.
