The British Prime Minister David Cameron has confirmed the UK is raising its terror-threat level to "severe".
The move comes in response to events in Iraq and Syria where the Islamic State group has been accused of a wave of atrocities.
The new alert level means an attack is "highly likely".
However there is no specific intelligence to suggest an attack on Britain is "imminent".
David Cameron says the expansion of Islamic State is a threat to the entire region.
