Ukrainian tanks have been deployed to the east of the country as part of an 'anti-terrorist operation' against pro-Russian separatists.

Armed militants have taken control of a number of government buildings in the Donetsk region in recent days, and the Russian Prime Minister warned last night that Ukraine is on the verge of civil war.

The tanks have now arrived at the city of Kramatorsk.
