Ceremonies are taking place around the country to mark the National Day of Commemoration for Irish service men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The commemoration remembers Ireland's UN peacekeepers as well as those who died in past wars.
Events are taking place in Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford - while the National ceremony takes place at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin.
