The race to succeed Eamon Gilmore as the leader of the Labour party officially gets underway later today.
Joan Burton is the likely frontrunner, but Brendan Howlin has refused to rule himself out of the running - while Alex White has also been named as a contender.
Meanwhile a split is emerging between older and younger members of the party over the treatment of Eamon Gilmore.
