Unions say Dublin Bus strike will go ahead

Unions representing Dublin Bus workers are warning that strike action will continue until management rows back on a cost cutting plan.

Members of SIPTU and the National Bus and Rail Union are threatening to begin the industrial action from Sunday - to oppose the measures.

Dublin Bus passengers will face major disruption if the strike goes ahead - as the company says it will be unable to provide services.

Sinn Fein is calling on the Transport Minister Leo Varadkar to hold emergency talks with both sides - to avert the industrial action.

However Dermot O'Leary from the NBRU says the stoppage will continue until Dublin Bus management suspends it plan:
