In the north,a man's been charged with endangering the safety of an aircraft after a transatlantic flight was forced to divert to Belfast International Airport.
The United Airlines plane was en route from Rome to Chicago yesterday when the captain made the decision to change route.
It's understood the aircraft was over north-west Scotland when the call was made.
The 42-year-old man is currently being held at Antrim police station - he is due to appear in court tomorrow.
