'Unlikely there are any survivors' French President

President Francois Hollande says it's unlikely there are any survivors after a plane crashed in the French Alps this morning.

142 passengers and six crew were on board the Germanwings flight from Barcelona to Dusseldorf.

The Airbus A320 came down near Digne les Bains in the south east of France.

Parent company of Germanwings, Lufthansa, says it does not yet know what happened to the plane.

The Department of Foreign Affairs say it is aware of the plane crash but has no information as yet on the nationalities involved.
