Up to 300 tyres being removed from locations around Dublin city centre every day where they are being stockpiled for Halloween bonfires.
Dublin City Council says it's playing a game of 'cat and mouse' in attempting to find tyres and remove them safely.
Gardai are currently carrying out an audit of garages to ensure tyres are being disposed of properly and that owners are not passing them on to young people.
