In the US, The Republican Party Convention has officially opened.

It is set to nominate Donald Trump as the party's presidential candidate.

Security is high at the venue in Cleveland, with hundreds of Anti-Trump protesters gathered outside.

Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus used the opening to remember police officers killed in Dallas and Baton Rouge:
