Around 200 Gardai will be on duty for this weekend's One Direction gigs at Croke Park. A quarter of a million fans and their parents will watch the five piece take to the stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Concert goers are being urged to take public transport.
Superintendent Kevin Galtron from Mountjoy Garda Station:

A massive security operation swings into force later this afternoon. Fans are being warned that they won't be able to queue up outside the venue until gates open. If you're under 16, you must be accompanied by someone over 18. Eamon Fox from MCD says they have procedures in place if they think anyone turns up looking younger than 16:

There are two confirmed supervised car parks available near to Croke Park - Clonliffe College, Clonliffe Rd. entry via Lower Drumcondra Rd and O'Connell's School, North Richmond St. Entry via North Circular Rd.

Irish Rail will provide additional capacity on DART and Commuter routes. See details on Irish Rail services HERE.
