The Dáil's Public Accounts Committee has made a U-turn on whether to give a Garda whistleblower a transcript of his own evidence.
The committee has overturned its decision of last week NOT to give Sergeant Maurice McCabe a transcript of his evidence about alleged corruption in the penalty points system.
The TDs will now ask the Dáil's Committee on Procedure and Privileges to rule on whether it can release a transcript of its private hearing.
