"Vape" has been named the Oxford Dictionary Word of the Year for 2014.

It means to "inhale or exhale the vapour produced by an electronic cigarette or similar device".

Research has found that use of the word vape has more than doubled since 2013.

Other contenders for the top spot included: 'bae', 'budtender' and 'slacktivism'.
