A verdict is due in the non-jury trial of two men accused of murdering Limerick businessman Roy Collins.

Wayne Dundon of Lenihan Avenue and his co-accused Nathan Killeen of Hyde Road, both in Prospect, deny any part in the killing over five years ago.

Our Courts Correspondent Francesca Comyn reports:
It's the prosecution's case that Wayne Dundon ordered the hit from prison, Nathan Killeen acted as the getaway driver and that another man James Dillon was the gunman

Roy's father Steve Collins who ran The Steering Wheel pub next door to the arcade gave evidence of his son's last moments of consciousness.

He said he asked Roy if he had seen who had shot him and he replied no before telling him how much he loved him.

The trial was held before 3 judges at the non-jury Special Criminal Court which is due to hand down its verdicts this morning.
