The Dáil has this afternoon observed a minute's silence for those killed in the terrorist attacks on Paris.
The French Ambassador to Ireland was present for the tribute, and Ceann Comhairle Seán Barrett invited those watching at home to take part too.
Afterwards Taoiseach Enda Kenny says the terrorists rendered a city and a continent silent, and that Ireland offered France its total support.
He said Ireland would not bend in the face of terrorism.
