A LABOUR TD has been given an early Christmas holiday - after he was booted out of the Dáil for misbehaviour.
Clare's Michael McNamara refused to honour the Ceann Comhairle's demand to keep quiet as the Dáil debated its own 'order of business'.
Usually being suspended from the Dáil would mean the TD is barred from participating in regular business for the rest of the day.
But as it's the second time Deputy McNamara has been kicked out - he was also suspended in February 2012 - he must now serve a two-day suspension.
That means he will not be able to participate in business today or tomorrow - which are the last two sitting days before Christmas.
