It's been confirmed in the Dáil that a permit for Santa Claus to travel over Ireland has been granted.
He'll now be cleared for travel in Irish airspace in the late hours of December 24th and the early hours of December 25th.
Fine Gael TD Jim Daly asked the Tánaiste in the Dáil after hearing some concerns there could be objections from some to Santa's travels.
"As chairman of the Children's Committee I have been contacted by numerous concerned parents and children, Ceann Comhairle, who are very keen observers of the New Politics of this house, and the tendency noted of the Fianna Fáil party to water down the government proposals," he said.
However he was assured that Santa Claus will be given full access to Irish airspace for Christmas Eve.
